6 Best Paramount Pictures Movies to Stream This Weekend

What is your choice of activity when you have a free day and you’re feeling too lazy to go out? If it is watching movies and chilling with some snacks, then you’ve landed on the right page! Today, we will be talking about some of the best and most iconic movies made by Paramount Pictures that deserve a re-watch in case you’ve already watched them. And if you haven’t watched them yet, then this is the perfect time to do that!

How will you be watching these movies, though? You can look for them through streaming channels, but a better way would be to catch them on TV! Depending on the connection you have, you get a list of channels where you can pick and choose the ones you want. WOW TV, in particular, has a list of channels that you can view and then pick a TV plan according to that – head out to www.buytvinternetphone.com/wow/tv to know more about it.

Moving on, let’s check the list of movies you should be watching!

Shutter Island

If you haven’t watched Shutter Island yet, now’s your chance to go and watch it. It is one of the best movies to date – it will also leave you in shock trying to understand what actually happened. Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese reunite once again to bring us this masterpiece of a film.

All you need to know about this movie is that it is a psychological thriller following a detective, Teddy Daniels, and his associate as they are responsible for investigating the escape of a murderess from a hidden asylum on an island.

Grease

There are a handful of iconic couples that have stood the test of time, and Sandy Olsson and Danny Zuko are one of them. Grease is an enjoyable movie that is loved just as much as it was the first time it was released. Aside from the addicting songs and the quirky dance moves, the movie has a typical but loveable “bad boy, good girl” trope. There is no doubt that John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John played their characters flawlessly and it is one of the major reasons for the movies’ success.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

You have most probably seen a picture of Audrey Hepburn in a black gown with diamonds around her neck and her hair done up in an elegant do. Well, this is the movie where it’s from! Quite literally, the opening scene of the movie is Audrey stepping out of a taxi with a breakfast bag in her hand and stopping to look through the window of a Tiffany & Co. flagship store. Audrey plays Holly Golightly, a Manhattan socialite, and she does it very well!

Audrey was definitely a trendsetter because of the way she dressed and carried herself, on and off screen, both.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump, as you might already know, is a movie about a slow-witted man, who unintentionally inspires people around him. The best part about all of this is that he sees himself as a normal person and does not feel sorry or down about his low IQ or complicated past. If you need some motivation, this movie would definitely help you with that.

Forrest, as he recalls his tale, has gone through everything, even having served in the Vietnam War. Toward the end of the movie, we get to see what is next in store for Forrest Gump.

Titanic

Of course, we were going to add this movie to the list as well. After all, it is one of Paramount Pictures’ best and timeless movies. The greatest love story and the classic “rich girl, poor boy” trope had audiences weeping in sadness. The story was based on the real-life incident of the Titanic sinking, however, Jack and Rose (as much as we would have loved them) were completely fictional.

This movie’s success can be attributed to the director, James Cameron, the lead actors, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, and of course, everyone else that made this movie what it is!

The Godfather

The Godfather is one of the most iconic movies of all time. And it is also the kind of movie that will continue to be one-of-a-kind regardless of how much time passes. Francis Ford Coppola definitely knew what he was doing when he directed this movie and gave the world a brutal insight into the world of the mafia.

The movie was originally adapted from the novel of the same name written by Mario Puzo. The story follows the Corleone crime family and how they handle their disputes with the other crime families.

To Wrap It All Up

And that’s a wrap! Paramount Pictures has made more iconic movies than the ones mentioned here, however, there is only so much we can write down. Additionally, there are only a few you can stream at a time, so while you’re busy with the movies written here, we might just make write a second part for this blog. Then, you can come back and check out the new ones!
